Setting The Captives Free

As I was thinking of the theme Upside-Down Kingdom I was drawn to the scriptures of Isaiah 61:1 and Luke 4:18-19; in particular the phrase “to proclaim freedom for the captives and release for the prisoners.” NIV

I attempted to capture this idea as I noticed a flower that had a bud on it but had not bloomed or blossomed and it was hiding behind a chain linked fence. I decided to photograph this over the time span of a week or so to document how it blossomed and bloomed. As the flower was forming it found its way on the other side of the chain linked fence and opened up. To me this represents/illustrates the idea of being set free from captivity.
