Indian Jones

Kaitlynd Valliant

Acrylic

My family’s formally feral cat, Indian Jones, pauses to watch me, before he goes on his way. I painted this from a photograph that I took of him. He sustained life threatening injuries, including having his back leg amputated at the hip as a very young cat. In spite of only having three legs, Jones continues to run, play, and purr like crazy when petted. His very existence continues to inspire me. He has never given up on life.
