As I meditated on the Upside Down Kingdom, I was reminded of Jesus, our King and High Priest, kneeling in humility to wash His disciples’ feet.
I was convicted of how, at times, we tuck Him away in our back pockets—pulled out when we long for Him to change our circumstances, then tucked away again.
Yet He does not meet us with similar disregard. He responds with compassion. He makes us clean, heals our wounds, and mediates our conflicts.
One day, nations will no longer rise against nations, nor prepare for war. Instead, weapons will be reforged into implements to nurture The Garden alongside Him. The Upside Down Kingdom will finally be made right side up. (Isaiah 2:4)
