Jesus has written us a haka. It is Revelation.
Revelation is not to be feared or ignored.
It is not a tale of woe and warning, for us to dread that one day we might return home and find the blender going unattended and a pile of clothes where our family has been and discover we’ve been “left behind”.
It is not a code for us to struggle to decipher and be left mystified.
It is not a message only for those who will go through the very end of times and the rest of us can take a pass on it.
It is not meant for us to finish reading, shaking our heads and joking that “I hope it’s pre-trib!” so that we can save our own skins and skip to the end of the story.
It is meant to be read aloud as an encouragement to the churches. It is meant to stir us up with hope. To show us Jesus as we’ve never seen him before. To know HE is the beginning and end, in charge of time and all of history, all the players are in his hand.
