In junior high school, our daughter decided to create a patchwork vest. Configuring fabric scraps into patterns and colors that pleased her and that she would not be embarrassed to wear took multiple trials, errors, tears and eventually pride in her creations. The results gave her creative spirit a lot of joy as she persisted and accomplished her goal. I honor the persistence of individual’s efforts to create, embarrassing or not.
