Mixed media – old text pages, pattern paper, drawing pencil, acrylic, charcoal
Based on Philippians 3:13, J.B. Phillips “I leave the past behind and with hands outstretched to whatever lies ahead I go straight for the goal…”
Our broken pasts are fragments of our story, silently molding and shaping our present. But in the Upside-Down Kingdom, there is another story waiting to be written – one written before we were even born, that God will not deviate from, that is better than we can think or imagine. It doesn’t matter what story has been written in our broken hearts (represented by the various text papers behind the figure), the new story holds promises of hope and a future blessing. Head bowed in surrender, she receives her new heart and redeemed story. (Psalm 139:16; Romans 11:29; Ephesians 3:20; Jeremiah 29:11; ).
