I found myself on a raft in the middle of a stormy sea, but Jesus led me to an art therapist who loves Him. She witnessed my story of the 25 times our family had moved by the time I was 19 years old. I couldn’t accept it until I could see it in the layer of maps and location pins I had collaged into the life journey project she prompted me to create.

I realized that I was not allowing people around me to help. They have become glowing lighthouses, and I realized that I could receive love from them. That’s community, and God Himself is Community. God is Home! My Home is in Him.

God used a stormy sea to show me the value of opening my heart. Now the sea is a place to connect in love with those around me.
